Actor Ashraf Sinclair dies of heart attack aged 40

CELEBRATED Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair, who also found fame in Indonesia, died of a heart attack in Jakarta, this morning. He was 40.

Ashraf was one half of a celebrity power couple – his widow is Indonesian actress and singer Bunga Citra Lestari, popularly known as “BCL”.

News of the death was first published in the news portal Kompas.com and was confirmed by BCL’s manager, Doddy, in a WhatsApp message.

According to Doddy, Ashraf died at 4am central Indonesian time.

Ashraf, who was born in London on Sept 18, 1979, is the elder brother of actress and MIX FM deejay Aishah Sinclair.

He made his big screen debut in the film “Gol dan Gincu” in 2005.

He leaves behind BCL, whom he married in 2008, and son, Noah Aidan Sinclair, 10.
