KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan will not be allowed to use French-Lebanese striker Seydi Imam when the Super League resumes on July 1.

On Monday, Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) rejected Kelantan's appeal to register Syedi following its failure to comply with regulations over unsettled debts.

However, FMLLP reinstated three points back to Kelantan.

FMLLP had initially docked six points from Kelantan for failure to comply with the requirements needed to register the team for the current season.

Kelantan have now moved from eighth to fifth in the league with 17 points.

However, FMLLP decided to uphold the transfer ban on the east coast side.

Syedi was supposed to replace Brazilian forward Alessandro Celin.

Kelantan's other imports are Mamadou Danso, Morgaro Gomes and Abou Bakr Al-Mel.

FMLLP warned that Kelantan will be demoted to the Premier League next season if they do not settle all arrears by Oct 31.
