KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor's Indonesian signings Evan Dimas dan Ilham Udin Armaiyn, who were labelled as unpatriotic by their national association, will report to the 33-time Malaysia Cup champions on Friday.

There were initial fears that both players would not join Selangor following the All-Indonesian FA's (PSSI) refusal to allow them to join Selangor despite already signing contracts.

PSSI feared that Selangor would not release them for the Indonesia Asian Games in August.

However, PSSI and FAS reached an amicably solution on Wednesday when the latter gave their word that Evan and Ilham will both be released accordingly to attend centralised training when required by the Indonesian Under-23 team for the Asian Games.

"We have agreed to PSSI's request over the release of both players when required," said FAS president Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal after a meeting with PSSI head Edy Rahmayadi in Jakarta.

Edy said: "PSSI thank Selangor for considering our request over the two players for the Asian Games.

"The Asian Games is an important assignment for Indonesia," he said.
