YANGON: An earthquake of 5.2 magnitude jolted Myanmar’s Bago region Monday, said the Meteorology and Hydrology Department.
The earthquake struck at 23:25:35 hours local time (16:55:35 GMT) with a depth of 10 km, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The epicentre was 32 km southwest of Phyu city in Bago region and 156 km north of Yangon.
Report on casualties is not yet immediately available.
On Jan 12, a stronger earthquake of 6.0 magnitude jolted the same Phyu area, followed by several aftershocks. -- Bernama
