MBSA workers clearing up the dumped sofa set and other items along Jalan Pahat M 15/M in Section 15, Shah Alam.

A RESIDENT has requested the authorities to clean up rubbish disposed at Section 15 in Shah Alam.

Kamaruddin Hassan highlighted the furniture and clothes dumped along Jalan Pahat M 15/M.

“On checking further along Jalan Pahat M 15/M, Section 15, Shah Alam, I came across old sofas thrown near a monsoon drain.

“I hope the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) does something about this.”

When contacted, a Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA) spokesman the council had cleaned up the disposed items.

The spokesman also advised the public not to dispose rubbish in bulk, including furniture items such as chairs, mattresses and other large objects.

“There are ways to dispose of these items and MBSA offers a paid service that the public can utilise.

“Be warned that when caught, the MBSA has the right to fine offenders according to the law stipulated since 2007.”
