KUALA LUMPUR: Metronic Global Bhd’s (MGB) subsidiary, Metronic Engineering Sdn Bhd (MESB) has secured a parcel of Merdeka PNM 118 project worth RM18.7 million.
In a statement released today, the company said the project is for audio visual and information technology system (AV-ICT).
Executive director and chief executive officer Brian Hoo Wai Keong said the Merdeka PNB 118 project will add to Metronic’s reputation image and help the company to scale up in terms of brand, commitment and expansion.
“We are confident to provide quality products and services to meet world stringent standards. Metronic is proud to contribute as part of national’s landmark that portrays Malaysia to the world,” he said.
He said Metronic is confident to pull the project off to work once again with its major contractor Samsung C & T for the tower, despite numerous project together such as Lot 91 Convention Centre Podium, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur and others.
Currently Metronic is pushing forward in finalising tenders of several huge potential engineering projects worth up to RM300 million in Malaysia and across the region.
“Metronic is on track to meet its aim for US$1 billion market share of smart city projects across Malaysia, Europe, United States of America, Middle-East and South East Asian regions in the next three years. We will announce more contracts in due course,” he said.
Merdeka PNB 118 or formerly named as KL 118 is the fourth tallest building in the world upon its completion with its architectural height of at least 644 meters.
