KUALA LUMPUR: Ready your wallet shoppers – Shopee’s year end 11.11 Big Sale is now in full swing.

From Oct 24 till Nov 11, shoppers will enjoy numerous daily deals, promotions and discounts across its vendors, along with coin cashbacks and vouchers.

Shoppers will also want to look out for the daily 11.11 free shipping vouchers with a minimum purchase of RM11 (terms and conditions apply).

There will also be a "Thank You Sale" promotion from Nov 12 to 14 though details on what is offered have yet to be released at press time.

The sale event is held across seven of the company’s prime market which includes Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan.

Last year, Shopee claimed it recorded 11 million orders for its 11.11 sale, representing an increase of 24 times more compared to its first 11.11 event in 2016.

The company believes this year’s Single’s Day order figures will be able to replicate if not surpass 2018’s.

“We believe that 11.11 will be a big success, and we invite everyone to join us for this event,” said Shopee’s chief executive officer Chris Feng.

Founded in 2015, Shopee currently lists itself as the No.1 e-shopping app in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, with 20 million downloads across Google Playstore and Apple App Store.

Sourcing from App Annie Rankings for Q2 2019, the company says it topped the rank in the Southeast Asian region as an e-shop app, going by monthly active users, downloads and total time spent in-app.

Based on the company’s recent 9.9 Super Shopping Day campaign, the top 3 best-selling categories for Malaysians are home and living, health and beauty and mobile and accessories.

Popular products include wireless earphones, sneakers, smartphones, pressure cooker, electric oven, bedding and towels, motor vehicle oil filter and MILO.

Indonesia is currently the company’s largest market, having reached over 110 million orders in Q2 2019, representing a daily average of over 1.2 million orders.
