KUALA LUMPUR: Fans of popular K-Pop outfit BlackPink were pleasantly surprised when they saw Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal grooving to the international girl group’s mega hit, Ddu-Du Ddu-Du, recently on one of his Instagram Stories.
According to Koreaboo, the hunky 38-year-old Californian was in South Korea to attend a special event for his latest movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home.
While there, he had posted some photos of his experience in Seoul, which included posing with an individual dressed as Mysterio, the character he plays in the new superhero movie.
But what got BlackPink fans, known as Blinks, excited was when he was seen riding in a train while listening to the sensational quartet’s catchy tune.
The star of Brokeback Mountain, Source Code and Nightcrawler even joined in by vocalising the group’s name during a specific segment where the girl’s shout it out.
The video clip certainly got the attention of fans who took to social media to express their excitement.
One wrote: “No way Jake Gyllenhaal posted a story listening to BlackPink... No way no way it’s a collective hallucination!”
Another said: “Jake Gyllenhaal listening to BlackPink was something I never thought I’d see in my life.”
