JOHOR BARU: The Johor Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) ministry director Ayub Abdul Rahman said the supply of control goods such flour, sugar and cooking oil in the state will be sufficient to cater for the festive demand.

According to Ayub checks on 30 wholesale suppliers of the goods revealed that the stocks for the control items such as flour, sugar and cooking oil has not dropped and will be enough to cater for the festive needs.

"We have four main cooking oil refinery and 15 packaging centres in the state. The stocks for sugar and flour is also consistent and we have yet to charge anyone for hiding this control goods in the market," said Ayub during a visit to one of the supplier checks in Johor Jaya today.

Ayub also warns retailers not to take advantage of the festive season and hide the control goods from consumer.

"We will also launch a price controlling scheme by next week to ensure that the prices of the control goods will not spiked up indiscriminately," he said.

Ayub also hope that consumer would not go panic if the brand of items which they wanted are not available in the market.

"I hope consumer can be wise enough and opt for other brands for the product they want if they could not find the brand that they are looking for on the store shelves," he said.
