KUALA LUMPUR: An event management firm manager was charged with falsifying the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) result slips of lecturer Dr Ridhuan Tee Abdullah's son and two other students.

Mohd Firdaus Shariful Azman claimed trial at the magistrate's court today with forging the SPM slips of Mohd Syafi as well as Puteri Sabrina Shazlin Roslan and Dhuratul Ain Radzali.

The 36-year-old was accused of committing the offences at Institut Terjemahan dan Buku Malaysia (ITBM) at Jalan 2/27 E, Seksyen 10, Wangsa Maju here, between 10.34am on June 4 and 3.21pm on June 13.

Mohd Firdaus may be jailed up to seven years and fined if convicted.

Deputy public prosecutor Najwa Bistamam sought for bail be set at RM15,000 for all three charges.

Mohd Firdaus's counsel Adenan Ismail pleaded for lower bail as his client has to both manage the firm he worked for and look after his young child, whose gender and age were not specified.

Magistrate Zuraini Abdul Razak granted RM2,500 bail for each three charges and fixed mention on Dec 15. Ridhuan was not present at court.
