JOHOR BARU: The Johor government has agreed to provide a special financial aid of RM500 each to all state civil servants in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

The announcement was made by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin in his speech at the closing of the Johor Administration Officers Association annual general meeting on Monday evening.

"In appreciation of the contributions of Johor civil servants, and in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri which is around the corner, the state government is glad to announce the presentation of the special financial aid," said Khaled in his speech.

He said the state government has allocated RM5.5 million for the aid which will be paid out to 15,126 of the state’s civil servants.

"The payment will be made as soon as possible before Hari Raya Aidilfitri," said Khaled.
