GEORGE TOWN: DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang said today he will answer only to Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, and no one else, on working together for the 14th general election.
He said his extension of an olive branch is solely to Hadi.
"As such, I will only respond if Hadi replies. I won't respond to any of his people.
"I have said that my cooperation is only with him," he told a press conference here.
Yesterday, Pas Ulama chief Datuk Dr Mahfodz Mohamed said that DAP must agree to Pas’ efforts to empower the Syariah courts, and to support its struggles to uphold the principles of Islam, before cooperation between both parties can exist.
Asked on DAP's stance on Pas' hudud Bill, Lim said it remains the same.
DAP had severed ties with Pas over, among others, the Islamist party's hudud bill, which led to the eventual collapse of the-then Pakatan Rakyat pact.
