LANGKAWI: The only girl still missing after she and three others were swept away by strong currents at the Lubuk Semilang waterfall on Thursday was found drowned yesterday.

The body of Siti Aisyah Kassim, 5, was found by a search and rescue team at 4.26pm near Surau Bukit Kemboja, 7km away from where she was last seen, said Kedah Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Mohamad Mustakim Mukhtar.

Four girls, who were at the waterfall with their respective family members, were swimming when they were suddenly swept away by strong currents at 4.30pm on Thursday.

The body of the first victim, Qistina Puteri Wira, 12, was found at 6pm on the same day.

The body of the second victim, Nur Iman Waheeda Mohd Basri, 11, was found at 12.40am yesterday; while the body of the third victim, Anis Satirah Saad, 12, was found at 11.45am near Kampung Tanjung Ulu Melaka, about 5km from where she was reported missing. – BERNAMA
