KUALA LUMPUR: It's a political crisis like we've never seen before, but in our eagerness to get the latest news updates (from the New Straits Times of course), we must not put aside personal safety.
As we know, many MPs are meeting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong today, and a former minister, on his way to Istana Negara shared a piece of advice with his social media followers.
"I was on my way to Istana Negara and encountered this accident," former Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik said, sharing a photo of himself at the site of the accident.
To all Malaysians, please be careful while driving.
"Please don't use the mobile phone while driving even if (you) wish to get the latest updates fast," the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) leader added.
The tweet has garnered some 2,000 likes and over 700 retweets.
Saya dalam perjalanan ke Istana Negara dan terserempak dengan kemalangan ini.
Berhati-hati ketika memandu kepada semua rakyat Malaysia.
Jangan bermain telefon ketika memandu walaupun nak cepat dapatkan update terkini. pic.twitter.com/FI2kOUQzAr
