PUTRAJAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s (Bersatu) women’s wing Srikandi has set its primary focus on boosting party governance, strengthening education and improving the economic status of women nationwide.
Srikandi chief Datuk Seri Rina Harun said that the wing was focused on realising the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Manifesto following the 14th General Election (GE14).
“Understanding the intricacies of bureaucracy that for decades have been under the grip of a kleptocratic culture of governance is a challenge that we have faced since PH begun administering the country.
“If we wish to see all policies in the PH Manifesto realised, then we must master the skill of governance quickly.
“Bureaucrats must be inculcated with skills that are innovative, creative, and progressive. As motivational experts worldwide would say, extraordinary results can only be achieved with extraordinary efforts.
“Therefore it must begin from each of us as leaders,” she said.
Rina was speaking during the Srikandi policy speech at the Bersatu second annual general assembly here, which saw the presence of 800 delegates from around the country.
Meanwhile during the same speech, Rina said that Srikandi sought to inculcate an organisational management culture known as “hikmah, hasanah and amanah” (wisdom, good values and trust).
“My aim is for the Early Childhood Education Module for 220,000 children below 6-years-old to be reformulated based on the culture of wisdom, good values and trust.
“I hope that government agencies, especially the Community Development Department (Kemas) and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) would kickstart this change comprehensively and in an integrated manner within the next three years,” she said.
