ALOR STAR: Kedah's Kosovo-born midfielder Liridon Krasniqi has been linked to a sensational move to French side Angers.
According to www.telegrafi.com, the 26-year-old will hold talks with the Ligue 1 club together with his agent soon.
Angers, however, has neither hold talks with Kedah nor offered Krasniqi a firm contract.
It is understood that Angers are willing to offer a transfer fee of €500,000 (RM2.4 million) to Kedah to secure his services.
Ligue 1 is among the top leagues in Europe with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) being the dominant force.
The website said Krasniqi has been identified as a player who has the quality similar to PSG's Brazil-born Neymar.
Krasniqi has played with European teams in Mlada Boleslav of the Czech Republic and Osmalispor and Fethiyesppor of Turkey.
It is learnt that Krasniqi, who joined Kedah in 2015, has an existing contract with the reigning FA Cup champions which expires end of this year.
Former Pahang striker Dickson Nwakaeme played for Angers in the 2016-17 season, but his contract was not extended.
