BANGKOK: TH Properties Sdn Bhd (THP), the property development arm of Malaysia's pilgrimage fund Lembaga Tabung Haji, bagged three awards at the prestigious Asia Pacific Property Awards 2017-2018. THP's award-winning projects were Bay Pavilions, Sydney in the "apartment" category, TH Hotel and Convention Centre (THHCC) Kuching in the "new hotel construction and design" category and the Islamic Complex Putrajaya for the "office development" category.

"This remarkable win is testament to the consistent effort we have been putting into all our work throughout the years and this is an incentive to continue serving clients by providing quality products," said Chairman Datuk Azizan Abd Rahman after receiving the awards here today.

The awards, most prestigious in the world for property development, underscored THP's constant strive for excellence, he said, adding that it was the beginning of many accolades to come.

THP, he said, had many current and future property projects in Malaysia, as well as, in Australia. Besides the Sydney Bay Pavilion, Azizan said a new property development project would be launched in London soon.

The Bay Pavilions property development in Sydney was THP''s first international endeavour involving construction of five blocks of 272 units condominiums, which began in May 2014.

The A$218.4 million gross development value project was developed on a 50-50 joint venture basis with an Australian property developer and was expected to be completed in Nov 2015.

The THHCC in Kuching, which is still under construction, is slated for completion by year-end while the the Islamic Complex Putrajaya, which won in the "office development" category, was completed in August last year. – Bernama
