JomPAY sees volume grow more than three-fold from Jan-May this year

KUALA LUMPUR: Bill payment service provider JomPAY's transaction volume grew by 340 per cent in the first five months of this year compared to the corresponding period last year, as more bank customers discovered its convenience.

Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation Sdn Bhd (MyClear) managing director Peter Schiesser said since its inception in 2015, JomPAY had grown to become Malaysia's largest online bill payment service with 1,570 biller codes.

β€œIt encompasses all telecommunications companies, electric utilities, pay TV services, water utility providers in 11 states, 98 local councils, educational institutions, insurers, stockbrokers, e-commerce merchants, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises businesses,” he said.

The JomPAY bill payment service was established and operated by MyClear in collaboration with banks in Malaysia.
