Nestle and Press Metal to be included in FBM KLCI index; to replace BAT and IJM

KUALA LUMPUR: Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd and Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd are set to replace British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Bhd (BAT) and IJM Corp Bhd in FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI index effective December 18, according to FTSE Russell and Bursa Malaysia.

BAT and IJM will be added to FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index, together with Gas Malaysia Bhd, Hengyuan Refining Company Bhd, Lafarge Malaysia Bhd and Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd.

As a result, FTSE Russell and Bursa said Karex Bhd, Mah Sing Group Bhd, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd, Press Metal Aluminium Holdings, Taliworks Bhd and TMC Life Sciences Bhd will be deleted from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI reserve list, comprising the five highest ranking non-constituents of the index by market capitalisation, will be used in the event that one or more constituents are deleted from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI in accordance with the index ground rules during the period up to the next semi-annual review.

The reserve list are Hartalega Holdings Bhd, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, Dialog Group Bhd, Lotte Chemical Titan Holding and Gamuda Bhd.

For the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index, new additions are IOI, Lotte Chemical Titan Holding and Nestle (Malaysia).

Digi.com Bhd, KPJ Healthcare Bhd and MISC Bhd will be deleted from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index.

The next review will take place in June 2018.
