JOHOR BAHRU: GIVI Asia Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturer of quality motorcycle accessories from Italy, has invested RM2.5 million to open a third branch in Johor.
Managing Director, On Hai Swee said the state was chosen for the branch after Kuala Lumpur and Penang, as it is viewed as an important market for the company.
“We actually received requests from other states to locate the official GIVI Point there.But, we have to give consideration to the issue of a bigger market such as Johor, with many of our customers being from the state,’ he told reporters after officiating the opening of the new branch at Jalan Tampoi, here today.
According to On, the GIVI Point branch has more than 1,000 official GIVI products such as helmets, rain coats and storage boxes, while also offering free installation services for accessories to customers.
Also present at the branch opening was GIVI International Operations Director, Joseph Perucca.
Meanwhile, Perucca said the GIVI headquarters in Italy was very satisfied with the marketing of its accessory products in Asia, particularly in Malaysia.
“We provide full support for the market here as it represents one of the biggest globally. A number of famous motorcycle companies also view Asia and Malaysia as important locations for the expansion of their brands and sales,” he added. – Bernama
