Asia's largest cruise ship returns to SEA

KUALA LUMPUR: The Voyager of the Seas, one of Asia’s largest cruise ships operated by American global cruise company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, is now back in Southeast Asia for her longest-running programme from now until June 2019.

The ship will be making a combined total of 74 calls to Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), Penang and Langkawi, over 66 sailings.

These are among the 90 sailings of 3 to 9 nights from Singapore to a variety of popular regional destinations which also include Phuket and Bangkok.

The cruise ship, that has 15 decks and can accommodate

4,269 guests, offers a variety of activities and entertainment exclusive to Royal Caribbean such as the Royal Promenade, a boulevard of duty-free boutiques, ice-skating rink and a full-sized sports court with the FlowRider surf simulator and rock-climbing wall.

Moreover, there is a three-tier theatre and the DreamWorks Entertainment popular with guests of all ages, which features ‘celebrity’ characters such as Shrek and Fiona of Shrek and Po of Kung Fu Panda in parades, character breakfasts and photo opportunities.

For gastronomical delights, there are numerous dining options onboard including Café Promenade which is open for 24-hours, the main dining room and Windjammer Cafe buffet restaurant which serve an array of international cuisine with a selection of Asian dishes.

There are also specialty restaurants such as Chops Grille Steakhouse, the Giovanni’s Table Italian restaurant, Izumi for Asian cuisine and Johnny Rockets.

As for accommodation, the choice ranges from the luxurious suites to the unique Promenade staterooms which offer views overlooking the Royal Promenade and the Virtual Balcony interior staterooms that show real-time views of the ocean and destinations.
