Gov't to review costly projects including Prestariang's RM3.5b SKIN

KUALA LUMPUR: The Home Ministry is reviewing projects that have high financial implications for Malaysia.

Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Alwi Ibrahim said the move would enable the country to improve its governance and rationalise expenditure.

“These projects include the National Immigration Control System (SKIN) and others,” he said in a statement posted on Instagram.

Earlier this week, Prestariang Bhd group chief executive officer Dr Abu Hasan Ismail said the company would proceed with its RM3.5 billion SKIN project.

He said the project would be carried out as per the definitive concession agreement signed on July 18 last year.

SKIN is a border protection control systems which will replace the existing Malaysian Immigration System (myIMMs).
