“This conference will showcase Malaysia has always been, and remains a dynamic economy, with abundant investment opportunities.

“Over the years, Malaysia has proven its resilience time and again in weathering headwinds, whether in the global or domestic front; and this occasion is no different.

"We believe that with change comes opportunity, and as a banking group that has progressed with Malaysia following its independence, we are committed to ensuring that Malaysia’s success story continues.

“The investment community remains convinced of the value that Malaysia still offers,” Maybank’s Farid said in a statement, today.

CIMB Group’s Zafrul said as a regional banking group headquartered in Malaysia, the banking group is confident that institutional reforms and policies premised on consensus, transparency and integrity will make Malaysia grow stronger and more sustainably.

“We feel privileged to co-host and to be able to play an integral part in this much-anticipated platform for the Government of Malaysia to convey its medium to longer term aspirations to the industry stakeholders.

"We also look forward to engage with the investment community, both local and foreign, on the country’s bright outlook at Malaysia: A New Dawn conference,” Zafrul said.

RHB Banking Group’s Khairussaleh said this conference serves as an excellent platform for investors and industry stakeholders to hear directly from the country’s leaders and key policymakers on the direction of New Malaysia.

He said the country’s sound economic fundamentals are poised to set a strong platform for growth.

"The government’s emphasis on enhancing transparency and corporate governance will boost confidence among global investors. The private sector looks forward to working with the Government to be a main growth driver for the economy,” Khairussaleh added.
