OGA 2019 expected to garner about RM2.2b sales

KUALA LUMPUR: The 17th Asian Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Engineering Exhibition (OGA 2019), is expected to garner about RM2.2 billion in trade value through business matchings and meetings at the exhibition.

The event, which will be held from June 18 to 20 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, will be attended by 2,000 oil and gas companies from 25 countries comprised of 50 per cent local and foreign players.

United Business Media (M) Sdn Bhd managing director Gerard Willem Leewenburgh said OGA 2019 is an excellent platform for key players in the oil, gas and petrochemical engineering sectors to engage, interact and showcase their latest technology.

“There will be latest technology on showcase in the fields of exploration, production and transportation within the oil, gas and petroleum industry as well as marine equipment, offshore well equipment, sub sea technologies and reservoir evaluation, among others,” he said.

“The showcase will give an opportunity to oil and gas companies to seal strategic partnerships with foreign companies and further enable them to be on track to become the region’s oil and gas hub.

“It will also help local companies to become more productive in the global markets,” Leewenburgh said at a briefing recently.

The event is expected to take up 20,000 square metres of exhibition space covering nine halls.

There will be 11 international group pavilions comprising 12 cuntries namely Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Norway, Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, the Netherlands, the UK and the US.

OGA 2019 aims to atract over 23,000 trade professionals and visitors.

Some of the exhibitors that will be present are ABB Malaysia, Honeywell Analystics, Technic FMC, Essem Corporation, Top Slings Trading, Sapura Energy Bhd, T7 Global Bhd, Sedia Teguh and Neural Oilfield Service.

For the first time, the inaugural OGA Innovation Award 2019 (OIA 2019) will be launched during the event to recognise and honour local companies and individuals at the forefront of homegrown innovation.

Concurrently, Subsea UK will be runnign Subsea Malaysia 2019 conference during OGA 2019 which will include free daily presentations during the show.
