Wong Kah Woh is new Seda chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) today announced the appointment of Wong Kah Woh as its chairman effective July 1, replacing Datuk Ir Ahmad Fauzi Hasan, who has been serving as acting chairman since July last year.

“Presently, Wong is the Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timor, which has availed him the opportunities to provide his views, proposals and suggestions to policy formulation through his debates and speeches,” SEDA said in a statement.

He is also the deputy chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) since 2018 and a practising lawyer with a 14 years of experience.

“His current areas of practice include corporate, banking and finance, real estate and commercial transactions ranging from the acquisition of companies, establishment of joint venture companies, loans and project financing as well as estate planning and administration,” it added.

In addition, Wong has a great interest serving the community as he is a legal advisor to community-based associations, providing pro bono legal advice and services to various community-based associations in Perak.
