KUALA LUMPUR: Lambo Group Bhd's (LGB) wholly-owned subsidiary, Lambomove Sdn Bhd (LSB) has entered into a collaboration agreement with Presto Mall Sdn Bhd (PMSB) to provide logistics service.
A filing with Bursa Malaysia, LGB said the agreement is for PMSB engaging LSB as one of the fulfilment agents for the last-mile delivery.
PMSB is the operator of PrestoMall, previously known as 11street Malaysia, which is Malaysia's largest homegrown online marketplace.
LSB is a local last-mile logistics company licensed under Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
This is in line with PMSB's direction to expand its business in e-commerce, food delivery and parcel delivery, said in a statement.
LGB executive director Calvin Koo Kien Yoon said with more consumers shopping from home during the Covid-19 pandemic, PMSB is expanding its needs for last-mile delivery services.
"We are looking forward to working with PMSB to ensure that Malaysians continue to experience seamless online ordering and delivery process," he said in a statement.
Calvin said the limited mobilities due to the lockdowns and restricted movement control have caused many local businesses struggling to find a sustainable way to deliver orders to their customers in a safe and timely manner.
"The application of technology is imperative to make a smooth delivery process possible. LGB has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) technology to sort out the shortest route, and the fastest delivery time to optimise the delivery process, this will ensure local deliveries can be fulfilled within the same day and satisfy the demand from door to door," Calvin further said.
"LGB aims to assist businesses by extending our services to provide local merchants with a sustainable revenue for online order fulfilment," he said.
