KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd announced the appointment of Azhan Azmi as its new group chief financial officer (CFO), effective today.

Azhan, 37, was Serba Dinamik group financial controller since 2017 and has vast and accumulated experience in dealing with stakeholders in related to the series of regulatory, compliance and corporate exercises undertook by the group since then.

Among others, Azhan was entrusted to engage, on behalf of the group, with the principal bankers, analysts, auditors, consultants, shareholders and regulators, in particular the Securities Commission of Malaysia and Bursa Malaysia.

He began his career with Khairuddin Hasyudeen & Razi in 2005 and later joined KPMG in the same year and serve until 2009.

Thereafter, he joined Schlumberger and his last position was operation controller prior to his appointment as group financial controller of Serba Dinamik.

"Azhan Azmi possesses keen financial skills and extensive experience in integrating financial functions in driving commercial growth, which are key requisites for the chief financial officer role.

"With his proven track record and knowledge of the organisation, he will serve us well as we chart a path of growth in Malaysia and global," Serba Dinamik group managing director and chief executive director Datuk Dr Mohd Karim Abdullah said.

Meanwhile, the company has also announced the appointment of Syed Nazim Syed Faisal as its non-independent executive director, effective today.

"On behalf of the Board, we are delighted to welcome Syed Nazim Syed Faisal to the board and we believe he will contribute greatly towards delivering value to our stakeholders," said Mohd Karim.

Syed Nazim, 39, was the group CFO since June 2016 and was primarily responsible of the group's initial public offering in 2017 and series of corporate exercise undertaken by the group.

He began his career with KPMG in 2003. Later in 2009, he joined MISC Bhd as strategic planning manager.

Thereafter, in 2012, he joined RHB Islamic Bank Bhd as the head of statutory and management reporting.

In 2013, he joined Ibdar Bank BSC(c), Kingdom of Bahrain, as vice president, financial compliance and administration. In August 2015, he joined the Serba Dinamik Group as CFO and subsequently, was appointed as group CFO in June 2016.
