Dataprep inks deal with RIDAA for future ICT projects

KUALA LUMPUR: Dataprep Holdings Bhd (DHB) has entered into a partnership with RIDAA Associates Sdn Bhd (RIDAA) to work on potential information and communication technology (ICT) projects in Malaysia.

RIDAA is primarily involved in mechanical and engineering services for accommodations, office buildings, and other building facilities or premises.

As a network facility provider (NFP) and network service provider (NSP) license holder from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), RIDAA has also ventured into the network and telecommunication industry.

According to DHB, the memorandum of collaboration will be effective for a period of five years from October 14, 2020, subject to terms and conditions.

DHB will be working with RIDAA by leveraging on each others' strengths in areas such as providing consultancy and marketing of ICT solutions for various projects and industries including telecommunication tower, public safety and surveillance, network systems, extra low voltage (ELV) system, big data infrastructure and analytics.

"Both parties will also be putting forward their best endeavors to further their mutual interests and make available to their collaborators the expertise, resource and information," it said.

DHB also said despite the current adverse business environment caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the company feels optimistic about certain aspects of the ICT industry which benefits from new norms and social distancing requirements which creates opportunities that can be tapped moving forward.

"Some of the ICT opportunity areas for the group include telemedicine, digital and contactless payments, as well as online platforms which enable e-learning and e-meeting.

"DHB aims to explore more business opportunities in the public sector, and is actively participating in government's project tender under the wide spectrum of ICT services," it added.
