Tealive marks 800th-store milestone in Malaysia with Batu Kawan outlet

KUALA LUMPUR: Tealive has marked its 800th-store milestone in Malaysia when it opens a drive-through outlet in Batu Kawan, Penang.

Loob Holding Sdn Bhd chief marketing and digital officer Ng Yau Chuan said the company was on track to achieve its target to have 1,000 stores by 2024.

"It's all the more significant that we're opening a drive-through here as Tealive gives great priority to customer convenience and we will continue to reach out to Malaysians everywhere," Ng said in a statement.

To reward customers for their continuous support, Tealive is now offering a special RM8 promotional price for all drinks for five days from today.

Any drink that costs more than RM8 at normal menu prices will automatically be reduced to RM8 only, not inclusive of tax.

"We owe our success as a brand born in Malaysia and raised for the world to all our loyal and supportive customers and we're happy to celebrate this 800th store milestone with them."

Ng said Tealive's growth plans would continue to be driven by strong brand loyalty and continued focus on customer convenience and digital strategy.

With continued emphasis on convenience, he said there were plans to open nine more drive-through outlets within the next 12 months to add to the current 14.

"That is the current plan. There may be more if there are suitable locations offered to us by development partners, just like Ikano here in Batu Kawan," he said.

In addition, Ng said Tealive would accelerate its digitalising process for customer convenience to enhance the various cashless and contactless ordering channels – scan to order, order ahead and drive-in or pick-up models across the store network.

He said the company also had over 152 drive-in shops where customers can order ahead and park at dedicated bays for the drinks to be served to them in their cars.

"As such, we are available at most locations where our customers frequent, ranging from neighbourhood street-front shops and community malls to transit terminals and petrol stations.

"We are continuing our strong partnership with all the major delivery channels so we can say 'If you cannot reach us, we can reach you'," he added.
