Gamuda Land to launch five new overseas projects annually from 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Land intends to add five new overseas projects per annum from its fiscal year 2023 in the United Kingdom (UK), Australia, Singapore and Vietnam.

Its chief executive officer Ngan Chee Meng said expanding internationally was consistent with the company's five-year business plan.

"It is part of our strategy to achieve RM8 billion annual sales in the next five years. We will be diversifying our markets where we have established a strong presence. These mature markets such as the UK and Australia present a host of opportunities," he said.

Gamuda Land launched its first UK project, West Hampstead Central in London, and its second development in Australia, The Canopy on Normanby in Melbourne today.

Ngan said a special preview for the 2 projects would be held this weekend at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

West Hampstead Central features 101 units of one- and two-bedroom apartments across seven levels. It has a gross development value of 72.4 million pound sterling.

It features architectural design that is inspired by the area's vernacular mansion blocks, paying tribute to both English heritage and contemporary design.

The indicative selling price starts from A$645,000 to A$1.5 million.

The Canopy on Normanby is located in an up-and-coming precinct within the Fishermans Bend, Australia's large urban renewal project.

Home to 213 units of one, two or three-bedroom apartments spread across 20 levels, The Canopy will feature a host of green building features and biophilic designs.

The price range for the units start from A$471,000 to A$1.224 million.

Ngan is upbeat on the sales for the 2 projects given their prime locations and unique product offering.
