MAHB extends help to stranded MYAirline passengers

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has mobilised its resources to provide assistance to stranded passengers of MYAirline Sdn Bhd after the airline suspended  its operations earlier today.

MAHB said relevant notices have been put up at the terminals and airport staff are on ground to offer assistance on alternative flight options by other carriers.

"At KL International Airport (KLIA), resting areas have been provided at Level 3 Terminal 2 and Level 5 Anjung Tinjau Terminal 1 so that passengers can wait for their next flight comfortably.

'Currently, the situation at affected airports are under control," it said in a statement.

Operational data shows that in the next two days (Oct 11 and Oct 12) a total of 39 flights servicing local destinations and one international route to Don Mueang Airport (DMK), as well as about 10,000 passengers are affected.

Passengers who are not yet at the airport are advised not to come to the airport. Instead, they can explore alternative flight options from other carriers through the respective airlines' websites.

"Malaysia Airports remains committed to minimising the inconvenience experienced by affected passengers and in ensuring that all passengers experience a seamless journey at its airports," it said.
