Atlas Vending, Etika Group launches Kempen Penyegar Dahaga RM1

KUALA LUMPUR: Atlas Vending Sdn Bhd, the vending machine arm of Etika Sdn Bhd, launched its collaboration with the Ministry of Economy for Kempen Penyegar Dahaga RM1.

This is part of an ongoing initiative by the government under the People's Income Initiative (PII).

Economy minister Rafizi Ramli said the government's goal is to provide affordable options to all Malaysians, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a moment of respite without stretching their wallets.

"Since the launch of the vending machine initiative under PII, many Malaysians from low-income groups have been able to benefit from the affordable meal options provided by the vendors operating these vending machines," Rafizi said at the launch in KL Sentral today.

Atlas Vending is launching its first beverage vending machine under the PII effort.

Etika Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Santharuban Thurai Sundaram said that with this initiative, the company will embark on a journey to empower communities to impact the lives of Malaysians positively.

Three Etika Group beverages, namely Pepsi Black, bottled mineral water, and Revive Isotonic, are priced at RM1, comply with government regulations and feature the Healthier Choice label.

In addition to addressing inflation and buying parity to support the circular economy, the project between the parties aims to align the ministry's vision of helping over 130,000 deeply impoverished Malaysians with its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Their dedication to serving the nation is demonstrated by the 3,210 machines that are part of the PII RM1 initiative nationally.
