KUALA LUMPUR: iProperty today revealed that Petaling Jaya (PJ), Mont Kiara, Johor Bahru (JB), Puchong and Cheras continued to be the most popularly searched areas for the January to November period, as potential buyers look for homes near workplaces.
Newcomers to this annual list are Bangsar and Bukit Jalil.
Cyberjaya, Subang Jaya, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and wre also locations featured on the list.
Search data is compiled by tracking consumers who organically search for a property in a specific location and subsequently land on an iProperty.com.my results page.Clicks originating from paid search results are excluded.
In a statement today, iProperty said compared with 2022, when prospective homebuyers were considering select areas outside the Klang Valley due to work flexibility, the 2023 search data indicates a shift in preference back to urban areas.
This change could be attributed to the return-to-office policies implemented by an increasing number of employers.
