CelcomDigi partners Softbank and SC-NEX to offer Industry Revolution 4.0 solutions

KUALA LUMPUR: CelcomDigi Bhd (CelcomDigi) has entered into a partnership with SoftBank Corp and SC-NEX to accelerate the digitalisation of Malaysian enterprises with the adoption of Industry Revolution 4.0 solutions.

CelcomDigi chief executive officer Datuk Idham Nawawi said the company is thrilled to partner leading global technology giants SoftBank and Sumitomo's SC-NEX, in its continuous aspiration to build the nation's digital ecosystem.

Idham said this partnership opens many possibilities for Malaysian enterprises to gain faster access to transformative technologies and help them unlock the true potential of their businesses. "Our goal is to help more businesses with their digital transformation, enabling them to remain competitive in today's digital economy.

"Businesses can look towards CelcomDigi as a partner that they can trust and rely on to improve productivity, strengthen business resilience, and create a more sustainable operating environment," Idham said in a statement.

Driven through its Innovation Centre, CelcomDigi's collaboration with SoftBank and SC-NEX will leverage the expertise of both companies on artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and analytic solutions.

Together, CelcomDigi will further explore co-creating IR4.0 solutions, starting with Agritech and Smart City industries, leveraging CelcomDigi's widest 4G LTE and 5G network.

SoftBank Corp vice president and head of global business division Kimimasa Kudo said in Japan, the company has developed leading smart building solutions that utilize cutting-edge building entry and robotics solutions, among others, and it looks forward to utilizing their know-how with its partners.

"We also look forward to collaborating in other technology areas to contribute to the sustainable growth of industry in Malaysia," added Kudo.
