Vietjet soars to new heights with 102nd jet

KUALA LUMPUR: Vietjet has welcomed the arrival of its 102nd aircraft, an advanced Airbus 321neo ACF, as part of its commitment to expanding its fleet and flight network.

The airline also recently launched its fifth international route in December, connecting Hanoi, Vietnam's capital city, and Hong Kong.

"The introduction of the new aircraft and the Hanoi-Hong Kong route launch coincided with Vietjet's anniversary celebration of its inaugural flight on Dec 24, 2011. This strategic move also synchronised with the festive Christmas season, enhancing the jubilant atmosphere," Vietjet said.

The A321neo ACF, displaying the Vietnamese national flag, landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on Dec 22.

The 240-seat aircraft model helps reduce fuel consumption by up to 20 per cent, noise emissions by up to 75 per cent, and environmental emissions by up to 50 per cent.

Vietjet is quickly integrating this aircraft into its operations to serve passengers across its extensive domestic and international routes.

Meanwhile, the airline has consecutively launched new international services, including Shanghai-Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc-Busan, Hanoi-Jakarta, Hanoi-Siem Reap, and the most recent addition, the Hanoi-Hong Kong route, strengthening its strategic expansion across the Asia Pacific region.

The thrice-weekly Hanoi-Hong Kong service operates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, expanding Vietjet's Vietnam-Hong Kong flight network to four direct services.

Starting February, the Ho Chi Minh City-Hong Kong, Da Nang-Hong Kong, and Phu Quoc-Hong Kong routes will be increased to daily services.

These expansions provide travellers with enhanced access to Hong Kong, with convenient transits in Ho Chi Minh City from Kuala Lumpur.

"The daily Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur route ensures seamless travel, coupled with Vietjet's service and hospitality," it said.

Vietjet also offers the "Real Deal" to Vietnam and beyond, providing affordable airfares starting from just RM120 all-in every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
