Sunview, Saudi's firm eye RE investments in Middle East, Africa & Asean

KUALA LUMPUR: Sunview Group Bhd is exploring prospects of investing in the renewable and green energy with Saudi Arabia's Vision Ambassadors Company for International Trade Consultancy.

Sunview, via fully-owned Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vision Ambassadors on the prospect today.

Sunview will be exclusively responsible for EPCC-related activities for potential projects.

The partnership will collaboratively pinpoint potential project locations, with both firms acting as the primary investors.

Sunview executive director and chief executive officer Ong Hang Ping said the company will explore for more opportunities across the Middle East, Africa as well as Southeast Asia.

"This endeavour aims to extend our geographical footprint beyond the Malaysian market.

"In alignment with the global pursuit of achieving net-zero carbon emissions, renewable energy plays a crucial role in realising this ambitious objective.

"Given the sustained demand for renewable energy, we are optimistic that this MoU will yield fruitful outcomes in future," he added.

The MOU signing was witnessed by Asean Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Datuk Sohaimi  Shahadan.
