Tuju Setia names new CEO and COO

KUALA LUMPUR: Construction services company Tuju Setia Bhd has appointed Tee Huei Tsyr and Seon Yen Kong as its new chief executive officer and chief operating officer respectively. 

Tee was previously COO of the company and has been with the company since 2011.  

He has more than 22 years of experience in project and construction management, Tuju Setia said in a statement today. 

Tee currently assists the managing director of Tuju Setia in overseeing the construction division and is involved in assisting the business development of the company.  

He is also responsible for overall project planning, coordinating site progress to ensure timely completion of construction projects, controlling project budget, and providing technical guidance in tendering projects. 

Seon, meanwhile, joined Tuju Setia in March 2023. 

He brings with him to the company more than 29 years of experience in project and construction management involving civil and infrastructure works. 

Seon held multiple senior positions, including chief executive officer of a construction company for 16 years, and has extensive experience leading teams and coordinating construction activities, developing strategies, and managing tenders.  

He was also involved in some significant development projects in Malaysia involving the construction of high-rise buildings, commercial towers, industrial buildings, and hospitals. 

Tuju Setia managing director Wee Eng Kong said the company is not only expanding its team but also enhancing its construction expertise. 

"The appointment of Mr. Tee and Mr. Seon aligns with our vision to be the builders of choice, as they bring with them many years of experience in numerous construction projects and management skills to the company. 

"Looking ahead, we are aiming to secure more new wins, supported by our tender book of more than RM3 billion, comprising high-rise and industrial buildings as well as hospital and healthcare facilities," he added. 

Tuju Setia's ongoing projects are mainly high-rise buildings, such as the Alora Residences (Subang Jaya), Emerald 9 (Cheras), Jernih Residence (Kajang), Sunway d'hill Residences (Kota Damansara), and One Equine (Seri Kembangan), as well as the design and build of the Kajang Women and Children Hospital.
