KUALA LUMPUR: Dagang NeXchange Bhd's (DNeX) subsidiary Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd (IAC) has bagged a maintenance contract extension from the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
Under the contract, IAC will be responsible for the software maintenance and support as well as applications improvements of the board's Hasil Integrated Taxation Systems (HITS).
The two-year contract, valued at RM11.2 million, will be operationalised at IRB's headquarters in Cyberjaya, and is an extension of a previous contract clinched by IAC.
DNeX executive chairman Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir said the contract demonstrated its capabilities in providing a comprehensive range of information technology (IT) services and solutions.
"We are grateful to IRB for its continued trust in us in the implementation of this project, which can strengthen IAC's capabilities in the deployment and maintaining a complex system developed using a low-code application development platform," he said in a statement.
According to Syed Zainal, DNeX is committed to becoming the technology partner of choice by developing innovative solutions that accelerate digital transformation to enhance efficiencies and lower operating costs for users.
He said the company's strategic plan involves expanding its service offerings by advancing its capabilities and seizing opportunities in new technology areas such as IoT, Big Data and analytics.
"This will put us in a strong position when tendering for large-scale IT and digitalisation projects from the public and private sectors, locally and abroad," he noted.
Key areas of services provided by IAC also include next generation enterprise resource planning solutions, cloud application and migration services, consulting and digital capability, application development and innovation as well as infrastructure and integration services.
The company's online and on site technical support technicians are authorised and certified by multinational vendors and strategic partners.
IAC is part of DNeX's Technology Consulting and System Integration business segment that specialises in holistic IT project management, from design and build to installation and commissioning.
The company had previously completed notable projects in the public and the private sectors including the Integrated Government Financial and Management Accounting System, the government's accrual accounting system.
