HeiTech Padu bags RM13.1mil MyIMMs job extension

KUALA LUMPUR: HeiTech Padu Bhd has bagged a RM13.1 million contract extension to provide maintenance services for Malaysian Immigration System, MyIMMs.

The company in a fiing with Bursa Malaysia Securities yesterday said it accepted the job from the Malaysian Immigration Department on Mar 7, 2024.

The contract will run for 12 months from Feb 18, 2024.

The announcement came on the same day MY E.G. Services Bhd announced that its unit MY E.G. Capital Sdn Bhd had taken a 14.4 per cent strategic stake in HeiTech Padu for RM31.25 million, through purchases via the open market and direct business transactions.

A business weekly report quoting sources, put HeiTech Padu on a shortlist of  companies for the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe) project.

NIISe is expected to replace MyIMMs.

HeiTech Padu's share price closed 22 per cent higher to RM2.99 a share yesterday, giving it a market capitalisation of about RM302 million.
