UCrest and MDC Asia work together to apply AI and IoMT to dental clinic chain

KUALA LUMPUR: UCrest Bhd and MDC Asia Link Bhd (MDC) have signed a business partnership agreement to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) to MDC  dental clinic chain's iMedic platform.

MDC aims to improve standard of care and healthcare management services by embracing AI, IoMT, and 3D printing technologies.

With 25 clinics mainly in the Klang Valley area, MDC focuses on pediatric dental care alongside general dentistry and orthodontics.

iMedicTM will serve as the Clinic Management System (CMS), enabling patients to track vital signs, biomarkers, and manage their dental care via a mobile app.

3D printing in dentistry enhances precision, customisation, and patient communication, while AI technology in iMedicTM aids in image analysis and diagnosis.

MDC plans to integrate a fundus camera with AILab from UCrest to diagnose diabetic retinopathy non-invasively. UCrest Eg Kah Yee chairman said with iMedic platform, the dentist and health consultants would be able to develop a personalised dental health plan for each of the customer and proactively manage and service the customers.

iMedicTM, a digital health platform used across Asia, the Middle East, and the US, connects to various medical devices, enhancing patient empowerment and clinic productivity through AI and automation.
