UMW Toyota sells nearly 10,000 vehicles including 217 units of Lexus in March

KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMW Toyota) recorded a strong sales of 9,688 vehicles in March, comprising 9,471 units for Toyota and 217 units for Lexus.

UMW Toyota's total year-to-date sales as of March this year stood at 23,444 units.

UMW Toyota said in a move towards sustainable mobility, it had recently collaborated with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) by handing over a Toyota Mirai in a groundbreaking ceremony.

The initiative is part of a broader commitment to carbon neutrality, aligning with the nation's Hydrogen Economy and Technology Roadmap (HET).

UMW Toyota president Datuk Ravindran K said the company believes in offering multi-pathway towards carbon neutral, wherein it offers different electrification solutions which include cleaner alternative energy.

Ravindran said UMW Toyota's role extends beyond automotive manufacturing as the company sees itself as a partner in Malaysia's journey towards a sustainable, eco-friendly future.

"We are committed to fostering a sustainable, greener, and more connected world, in line with our tagline 'Move Your World'," he said.

In the commercial sector, UMW Toyota has raised the bar with the introduction of the all-new Toyota HiAce Panel Van 3.0 litre.

Further enriching its commercial vehicle lineup, UMW Toyota also announced the pre-booking for the much-awaited Toyota HiAce super long wheelbase.

The vehicle boasts significant size enhancements for increased interior space, offering unparalleled comfort for passengers and cargo.
