DNB names new board members following Dec 1, 2023 share sale agreement

KUALA LUMPUR: Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) has appointed its new Board members, comprising senior leaders from the telecommunications and technology industry, following the share subscription agreements (SSAs) signed between DNB, MOF Inc and five Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) on Dec 1, 2023.

The appointment is effective 24 April 2024.

The five new members will join the other two incumbent members, Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican and Ma Sivanesan Marimuthu, on the board of DNB.

The new board appointees and their alternates nclude CelcomDigi (Infranation Sdn Bhd) director Datuk Kamal Khalid, Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd director Uthaya Kumar A/L K  Vivekananda,U Mobile Sdn Bhd director Chang Yit Fei and alternate director Tan Kok Leong, Telekom Malaysia Bhd director Nik Azli Abu Zahar, and alternate director Mohamed Tajul Mohamed Sultanand, and YTL Power International Bhd director Datuk Seri Yeoh Seok Hong and alternate director Datuk Dr. Fadhlullah Suhaimi Abdul Malek.

DNB in a statement said it looks forward to obtaining valuable input and direction from the newly constituted Board in driving the advancement of Malaysia's digital infrastructure and the adoption of 5G technology across industries, enterprises, the public sector and consumers.-Ends-
