Glocomp Systems now a Microsoft indirect cloud solutions provider

KUALA LUMPUR: Glocomp Systems (M) Sdn Bhd says it has been appointed as a Microsoft indirect cloud solutions provider (CSP).

Glocomp managing director Joseph Giam said this ushers in a new era of cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, coupled with service excellence for our extensive ecosystem while also opening a new revenue stream for the company.

"This collaboration also enhances our AI and cloud service offerings to drive transformative digital solutions across Malaysia," said Giam in a statement.

It brings into focus Glocomp's expertise within the public sector, empowering the company to spearhead digital transformation for government entities and public institutions.

Microsoft Malaysia Sdn Bhd commercial partner director Gwendolynn Mak said the partnership aims to "realise Microsoft's commitment as a trusted technology partner to the nation".

It includes driving cloud and AI innovation particularly within the public sector, to ensure they can thrive in the growing AI-enabled economy, she added.

Glocomp will also serve as a Microsoft CSP distributor, enabling it to deliver a broad range of Microsoft cloud products and solutions directly to its ecosystem.

Glocomp will also be offering added services including billing, technical support and bespoke cloud solutions catering to specific business requirements.

Glocomp director Desmond Low said it is committed to making advanced cloud technologies and AI accessible and beneficial to all local organisations.

"We aim to continue fostering a digitally inclusive ecosystem that drives growth and innovation across various industries," he said.

"This role also elevates Glocomp's capability to assist partners in AI and cloud adoption, optimising the use of Microsoft's technologies for digital transformation and business success.

Low said by focusing on maintaining current customers while transitioning them to cloud services, as well as capturing 'greenfield' customers, Glocomp aims to solidify its position as a "one-stop solutions provider".

Glocomp is actively engaging with local independent software vendors and internet-of-things solutions providers within its ecosystem.

"This approach also encourages local innovation, aligning with the broader objectives of Malaysia's MyDIGITAL vision to spur economic growth through digital transformation," said Giam.
