KKB Engineering bags RM37.9m jobs from Petronas Dagangan

KUALA LUMPUR: KKB Engineering Bhd's units have bagged two jobs worth RM37.9 million job from Petronas Dagangan Bhd.

KKB Engineering is 17.9 per cent owned by Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd, a company run by the late Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud's family.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, KKB Engineering said Edisi Optima Sdn Bhd received a letter of award from Petronas Dagangan for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder fabrication and maintenance, while Perbena Emas Sdn Bhd a purchase order for the supply of mild steel concrete line pipes and fittings.

A formal agreement for the Petronas Dagangan contract and the purchase order will be executed in due course.

The Petronas Dagangan contract is effective from March 2024 for a period of one year with an option to extend for another year until 2026.

The purchase order is scheduled to be completed by the second quarter of 2025.

KKB Engineering's share price was up 1.7 per cent to RM1.84 a share, giving it a market capitalisation of RM531 million.
