True Caltex power

Chevron Malaysia Ltd, marketeer of the Caltex brand in Malaysia, has launched the “True Power from Within” promotional campaign in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the Transformers movie.

During the promotion period, from now till July 31, Caltex consumers or Transformers fans can purchase the selected products - Havoline, Delo and Techron lubricants - to be eligible to participate in the contest.

Grand prizes of Vespa scooters, exclusive Transformers premiums, StarCash, shopping vouchers and monthly lucky draws are up for grabs. Caltex Journey Card and B Infinite Card members are entitled to special draws and stand a chance to win up to two million BPoints.

“We have always believed in going above and beyond for our customers to enjoy their journey with us by offering exciting campaigns and promotions beyond the products we offer,” said its area business manager (Asia Pacific cluster) Asim Khan, at the launching ceremony.

As Caltex offers both fuel and engine lubricants, there will be two campaigns running consecutively during the promotion period.

Starting from Monday to July 31, with a minimum purchase of RM50 worth of Caltex with Techron fuel, consumers would receive a free Transformers Tissue Box (while stocks last) and stand a chance to take part in a lucky draw to win the Vespa scooters, StarCash and bonus BPoints for any Caltex Journey Card and B Infinite members who use their loyalty cards to purchase any Caltex petrol or diesel at its stations nationwide.

From June 15 onwards, consumers who fuel up with a minimum of RM50 petrol or diesel purchase will be entitled to purchase an exclusive Transformers reversible umbrella for RM39.90 at all Caltex service stations.

There will be two lucky draw sessions on July 4 and August 10, with a total of 20 Vespa scooters, RM12,000 worth of StarCash, and two million BPoints to be won.

Results will be announced on its website and Caltex Malaysia Facebook page.

Meanwhile, from now until June 3, Caltex is running the “Spot the Caltex Fun Truck” contest. To participate, members of the public will need to snap a photo or even a group photo with the truck and post it on the Caltex Malaysia Facebook wall or on their personal Instagram account (feed must be made public) with a creative caption in less than 10 words, “Caltex brings you true power because .....” and include the hashtag “#CaltexTruePower”.

Over a period of three weeks, five weekly winners will walk away with StarCash worth RM200 and will be featured in Caltex’s promotional materials.
