Mercedes-Benz achieves new sales record

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) achieved another milestone by selling 12,045 of passenger cars in 2017, a 2.3 per cent increase compared to the 11,779 units sold the year before.

Its vice president of sales, passenger cars, Mark Raine said this was the best achievement for MBM so far.

"We are delighted to have delivered a record-breaking 12,045 Mercedes-Benz cars to customers in Malaysia and by this, confirming our position as the leading premium brand," he said.

Also present was president and MBM CEO Dr Claus Weidner.

June was the best month for MBM in Malaysia, with sales of 1,210 units of vehicles.

In 2017, MBM sold 7,041 units of limousines, 2,031 units of compact cars, 2,599 units of SUVs premium and 374 units from its dream car range.

Last year, MBM launched 17 new vehicles.
