AONE receives 15 Scania prime movers

SCANIA Malaysia has handed over 15 Scania prime movers to first-time customer AONE Logistics Sdn Bhd to facilitate the expansion of latter’s trucking and haulage business.

Scania Southeast Asia managing director Marie Sjödin Enström presented the keys to AONE managing director S. Palani in a handover ceremony in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

“As a logistics company, it is crucial that we provide good end-to-end service with minimal downtime to our customers and I believe Scania can help to ensure that we do so with the attractive total solution package it offers, as well as its systematic way of managing fleets,” said Palani in a statement.

The 15 Scania G-Series Trucks are equipped with either a nine-litre or 13-litre engine, capable of producing 360hp to 460hp, depending to the engine type. Nine units are based on the 4x2 chassis type while six are on the 6x2 chassis. The trucks are covered with two-year free Scania maintenance, two-year free 24/7 Scania Assistance and a 10-year free Control 10 Fleet Management System.

On top of that, AONE also signed a seven-year repair and maintenance (R&M) contract, as well as Scania Fleet Care, covering schedule maintenance of the vehicles and breakdown assistance.

“For Scania, the handover is a reflection of the company’s on-going commitment to the quality, safety and performance of our vehicles and we are indeed very happy that AONE Logistics has placed its trust in Scania for the best profitability and sustainability of its business,” said Enström.
