Mercedes-Benz introduces new E-Class variants

MERCEDES-BENZ Malaysia has introduced three new variants to expand the E-Class range in Malaysia.

The variants are the E350 AMG Line (priced at RM399,888), E300 Exclusive (estimated price RM379,888) and E200 Sportstyle Avantgarde (RM329,888).

“As the vehicle of choice in the premium executive limousine segment, we are proud of the all-new Mercedes-Benz E350 AMG Line now leading the E-Class range. The locally-assembled car also comes with a four-cylinder 2.0 engine equipped with a belt-driven starter generator and the driving assistance package with state-of-the-art safety technologies”, said Mark Raine, vice-president, sales and marketing, of MBM.

A new twin-turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with twin-scroll turbochargers produces high torque at low engine speeds. The E350 AMG has 299hp on tap with a maximum torque of 400Nm (with an addition of 150Nm boost attributed by the belt-driven starter generator). The drivetrain gives the E350 a century sprint of 5.9 seconds.

The car comes with the driving assistance package, a safety suite consisting of several safety technologies that work to avoid collision and enhance the car’s standard safety features. Dynamic Body Control suspension with adjustable damping between maximum agility or high damping comfort suited to the route profile and personal driving style is also another feature in the new E350.

“Alongside the E350 AMG Line debut, we are also proud to introduce two new variants — the Mercedes-Benz E200 Sportstyle Avantgarde and the Mercedes-Benz E300 Exclusive — to further complete the existing lineup. New in the E200 and the E300 is the blind spot assist and the lane tracking package, respectively,” said Raine.

The E200 Sportstyle Avantgarde comes with additional chrome trim and 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the Sportstyle package comes with headliner in black fabric, centre console in light carbon grain aluminium trim and sport pedals in brushed stainless steel.

It is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 197hp and 320Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the E300 comes with the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine in a different state of tune, producing 258hp and a maximum torque of 370Nm, and is equipped with a lane tracking package, which includes blind spot assist and lane keeping assist.
