Lamborghini launches Huracan EVO; from RM1.15m

KUALA LUMPUR: Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur, the official distributor of Lamborghini vehicles in Malaysia, has launched the facelifted Huracan - the Huracan EVO, with a starting price of RM1.15 million, excluding duties, options and insurance.

Powering the super sports car is the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated Lamborghini V10 engine mated to the seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission - resulting to 640 hp at 8,000 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

The engine has been improved to produce high power output and powerful sound, with the Titanium intakes valves and refined lightweight exhaust system.

Lamborghini claims that the Huracan EVO can complete the century sprint in 2.9 seconds and accelerates from standstill to 200kph in 9 seconds. It has a top speed of more than 325 kph and braking from 100kph to 0 can be achieved in 31.9 metre.

The Huracan EVO features the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) - a central processing unit that anticipates the driver's next move and adjusts the super sports car setup appropriately, which includes the adjustments of the throttle response, suspension geometry, torque vectoring and other computer-controlled systems.

It also has the Lamborshini Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI) - a set of sensors that monitors the lateral, longitudinal and vertical accelerations, in addition to pitch, roll and yaw rates.

There's also the Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS), where the system will steer the rear wheels to compensate turns effectively and efficiently, providing more stability.

The Huracan EVO has a more aggressive styling. The front bumper has integrated aeroblades to improve the downforce and the rear styling was inspired by the Huracan Performante variant, having the similar rear diffuser, exhaust pipe position and radiators. There's a new spoiler that improves the downforce.

On top of the features mentioned above, the Huracan EVO that was presented during the launch is equipped with 20-inch Aesir rims, EVO trim interior in Alcantara and leather mix with Arancio Dryope details matching the body tone, ambient lights, and the new 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration.

There are several option upgrades available, such as the Carbon Forge Composites, Lamborghini's patented Carbon Skin, and also a wide range of Style Packs in shiny black and body colours, as well as the Lamborghini's Ad Personam programme, which offers virtually limitless opportunity for owners to customise their Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini Huracan EVO will arrive in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2019.
