KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has appointed Michael Jopp as the new head of sales & marketing for its cars in Malaysia and SEA II beginning this month.
Jopp replaces Mark Raine, who completed a four year tenure in Malaysia, and is now stationed as the Vice President of Product & Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Korea.
Prior to his current appointment, Jopp was the vice-president of sales and marketing for India, a position he held for close to three years, during which Mercedes-Benz India maintained a position as the leading luxury vehicle maker in the country.
Jopp has two decades of experience in the automotive industry in positions at Daimler and Mercedes-Benz in Germany and graduated with an MBA from Goizueta Business School.
